[dt. »Papier-weißer Bildschirm], Bezeichnung für einen Schwarz-Weiß-Bildschirm (Monochrombildschirm), mit der betont werden soll, dass die Qualität der Darstellung fast so gut ist wie bei einem Papierausdruck (obwohl der Vergleich wegen der stark unterschiedlichen Auflösungen von Bildschirm und Ausdruck hinkt). Text wird in schwarzer Farbe auf einem weißen Hintergrund dargestellt. Auch eine Invertierung von Farben ist möglich (weiße Schrift auf schwarzem Grund).
